There is a tiny trickle of current to carry the data but nowhere near enough to charge the iPad.

I have iPad Air. It REALLY charges and drains the remote battery.
It charged my iPad from 74 to 78 in about 10/15 mnts

I noticed the same with my iPad air 2. Is there a way to stop this perhaps?
