I have a curious observation. After an IMU calibration typically I have the P4P drift somewhat in one direction or the other in atti mode despite ACC and GYRO values at or less than .003. However if the P4P drifts forward in atti, I find that I can attain max speeds more than if it were to drift in other directions. I have a max speed of 52.2 mph in P mode this way although I think there is a software cap in this mode. This was on litchi. I have not tried S or atti modes yet.
So my question: Does the direction of AC drift in atti (no position lock) have any effect on the craft's behavior in a locked mode?

The Max Speed in P mode (with OA disabled) is around 36 mph. The only way to exceed this is with a tailwind assist.
Perhaps you are confusing kph with mph?

I doubt it would have any effect at all.
