P4 with latest firmware: spontaneous altitude change and poor altimeter precision after upgrade

Interesting to read what all can go wrong.. I never calibrated anything since beginning of April flying at freezing minus 8 cel. And hot summer weather and 2200km away from it's last calibration. Updated Always and never any issue with false readings,etc...
what are you Guys doing with that thing?

Absolutely nothing, but what is advised by the Manufacturer.

Thats the most offensive part of it all...

Happy for you. I also know a guy whose p4 is ideal. Some have luck. Some don't....
