P4 Wifi Operating Frequency

I’m considering the Phantom 4 over the Mavic Pro mostly due to the better camera. I love piloting my drone, but to me it’s all about capturing the image. Although the Mavic Pro has so many sweet features that are tough to pass on, my hours of research and video/photo comparison between both birds clearly demonstrate the P4 is the better choice for my photographic/video needs.


All that said, the one feature I cannot get an answer on is if the Phantom 4 controller has both Wifi operating frequencies of 2.4 and 5 GHz like the Mavic Pro does. I’d love the safety net of having the 5GHz frequency with the P4.

Hi, the P4 does not contain both bands, only the P4P and Mavic do.

Thanks all. Another question. Anyone know if the $995 price for the P4 is for a limited time? Best Buy is indicating it's only for this week, but DJI website seems to indicate it's the going price now.

At the bottom of the DJI's holiday sale page here, it's showing that price is only good until January 4th at 23:59:59 PST.
