Does anyone know where the compasses are located on the Phantom 4? In the legs (which ones)? Or elsewhere?

I have not yet gotten my hands on a P4, but if is similar to the other models, it's in one of the legs. Do you see a 4 conductor cable going down one of the legs? Is there a little cover on the bottom of that same leg? That would be the compass. It needs to be in the clear as much as possible, so I would guess it's still down low on a leg.

Legs are completely closed on the P4; no way to see.

After a bit of research, there are 2 compasses, one in each front leg. There should be an access cover that pops off if you are curious. Again, I have not had one in for service (yet), but it's a matter of time.

Two compasses in the front landing gear, near the top. I know because I've had to open them up.

Are you sure they are not on the bottom of the legs?

Well actually come to think of it, the compass wiring is connected to a circuit board that extends all the way down the legs. And yes, I think the compass is the small black chip located at the bottom of the circuit board (near the bottom of the landing gear).

Exactly. The compass needs to be in the clear as much as possible.
