P3S max distance 816 ft

Well, there is a new app update today. I updated the GO app today, the update seems to have fixed the distance issue. After updating app this evening, I took it out and did a quick flight right after sunset. I went out to 1200 ft. I know that it will go father, the skeeters were starting to eat me up. I did a pre flight check and saw a new box in settings that allowed me to make another 500m selection. This wasn't there yesterday , like I previously said it would default back to zero. Today, the settings held after agreeing box came up. I now know that version 2.8.0 caused the distance issue. Thanks to everyone that gave advice I'm this matter.
In this matter. Stupid auto correct.

I got 1952 meters (6404 feet) with the PS3 over a lake with no wifi interference.

I have gotten out 4500 feet easily. You have to be high enough in the air to maintain line of sight.

I too only get around 800 ft in a neighborhood with trees and interference. I just got the updated app and will do a distance check this evening. I am hoping that it makes a difference...

On a side note, anyone with a DBS mod who can comment on what to expect range wise WITH a lot of trees around?

dbs mod congested area around 4500 feet

It's the conditions I got 4300 feet with no booster Aerials or anything. It was up a small hill in the countryside and it flew forever ! I have tried it by my house and only get 1000 feet max .
Here is the link below so you can see the conditions. (If the link works !)

Actually you got 94 feet, we are not talking about height.. we are talking about distance. Careful up that high...

Okay, I have a question. In the MC settings, I have a slide switch that says distance limit (15-500m).
When it's green, it allows me to max out at 500m. When it's off, there's nothing. Now I haven't tried to fly my bird when it's off. So, my question is will the bird fly with the limits off? When I'm flying with the limits on it will do a radius 500 meters out , if I take the limits off will they allow me to go beyond the 500-meter radius? I have a stock controller with no modifications.

if you turn off the distance limit you can go out (distance) for as long as you have signal. Make sure you have the RTH set ALWAYS !!

My max is about 3,000 feet so far in an open field. I believe I could have gotten further with more battery.
