P3P Range Problem? Firmware Update? RC power cut in half?

I have my P3P for about 2 weeks now with about 20 flights, and I am having trouble reach the advertised range. even with a parabolic reflector on my controller.

I can only go about 1 mile at 300 ft height before I lose video feed.

I tested this in open farm field area/open sea area, so there should be minimum obstruction/interference. I have the latest firmware on my phone,copter, and the RC.

Now I hear that a firmware update reduced the transmitter power of the P3P by 50 percent, is that true?
What is your range with the latest firmware.

I think it is just speculations(Others correct me if I am wrong). Mine seems to go the same distance before, and after the update. And there is no reason why DJI will impose such a limit. That would just anger the customers. Are you pointing the antenna the correct way? Also, try using a parabolic reflector. That normally would increase the range.

Just got my P3A recently and took it out the other day after all the updates and got to around 1.7 miles. Probably could have gone further. All stock.
