I was flying my P3A today for the first time in a couple of months. Took off normally and flew about 300 feet away and 200 feet high. When I tried to fly back close to where I was standing the aircraft would get about 100 feet away and wouldn't come any closer - I could go up down, left right and further away but not closer. I was flying using Litchi app so I shut down and opened DJI Go app - same problem. I finally had to find a spot to land 100 feet away and was able to land safely.
After landing I noticed that I was in F mode but not sure that would have caused this problem.
I don't have a whole lot of experience and would appreciate any input on what I might have been doung wrong
thanks
Gary

Speculation, bad home point and app set to beginner mode, i.e., geo fence maybe. Just a guess.
Data, as you said Meta would help.

was it flying only backwards or only forwards?

Just wondering if you rotated it 180 deg it would then come too you.

Faulty stick or in need of calibration. ?

F mode - Sounds like you had IOC enabled, it acts funny the moment it gets close to home point. Here's an excellent illustration:
