P3A 2 Weeks Old Crack on Top

    Have a P3A thats only a couple weeks old with less than 15 flights on it. Prior to take off and after landing i always check the shell for cracks. Well i found one yesterday after landing, its on the top of the shell next to the motor. This is my 3rd Phantom and i always take precautions when flying and don't over do it, even have the brake set to 70. What do you guys recommend? Fly as is but add motor mount plates or send into DJI?

    If you start playing with DIY engine mounts etc then you will likely void any future warranty (I'm not a fan of those engine mounts in any case). Given that the drone is only two weeks old, I'd definitely opt for the warranty repair.

    That is really hard to imagine - happening with no hard landings, etc....my year-old P3 doesn't have a scratch on it. But maybe it got stressed in shipping, etc. and then cracked.

    Yeah, go for the warranty. You can probably delay it a bit if you need the bird for some shots.

    its still a ongoing problem send it back to be fixed
