P3 standard using p4 remote

Has anyone tried flying the p3 using the p4 remote? I would like to try it so I can use my iPad as the device

Only the P3S remote controller is compatible with the P3S. You could install the P4 remote controller mount on the P3S like this. Or, check out this thread for some semi-permanent mounting options.

You can add the inspire style tablet holder to the P3S remote to take a iPad, or there are adapters available on ebay/amazon

That's impossible they are completely incompatible and would not communicate at all.

I fitted the inspire holder to a normal P2 remote, all I had to do was screw it to the metal loop and the for the other bit i just drilled a hole slightly smaller then the pole part and pushed it into the hole. It works fine
