So photos are starting to appear on some changes to the latest batch of P3's, the biggest being they now have the newer 2312E motors.

2312E motor represents a significant
upgrade over the previous 2312 model. The optimized electro-magnetic system boosts efficiency
by nearly 7% and lowers cogging torque, which provides noticeably smoother performance at low RPMs.
A newly designed motor base not only provides better heat dissipation, but also a more advanced, hi-tech look.

How do you see what motor model is on a P3P?
The motors on my P3P does not have any marking on them.

Are the photos above from a retail unit out of box or a unit plucked from the line?

gotta love it when a change is made and youve had a 2nd p3p for a week not to mention bought it from DJI directly.

bought my 2nd p3 about 2 weeks ago....sending it back to amazon next week for a replacement in hopes they send me out the newer version ;)

DJI always used some minor changes during a model line and i would have my doubts that anybody here will feel a difference with those motors, thats definately not an essential update. I would be more pissed when they would now offer the remote with HDMi out. I still have a Phantom2 with the 920kv motors and those are perfect and lets be honest here, this P2 works great and i even like it more than the P3 with active braking etc.. This is a flying tripod, not a race copter. DJI never did essential upgrades to a certain Phantom model. Here and there some minor changes and thats it. Like a shielded compass, different motors or a new gimbal wheel etc.. You will all use this thing for a year and switch to the Phantom4 anyway.

Agreed, although it would be nice if the higher efficiency had an impact on flight time, maybe adding a couple of minutes. Minimal improvement, I know, but still.

Minutes? Yes dream... This new motors at best can give you 30 seconds more, I doubt is much more than that...

Even them any flightime improvement is very welcome.

What do you base that conclusion on? Why 30 seconds?

With 7% higher efficiency, and with today's flight time of 23 minutes gives: 23 x 1,07 = 24,61, i.e about 1½ minutes longer flight time ...

That is not real... I have the e305 960kv, that's why I say it's not that good...

dont be so naive : p They will do no significant changes in flight time. The P3 standard has 25 minutes on paper and the P3 pro 23 but the standard is much lighter and less power consumpting, i highly doubt the new revision of motors will be much different when they still use them in 960KV. I think they could mean those motors could be 7% more efficent in certain rpm ranges or something like that

Ok, so you are just guessing.

Who is saying "significant" ? I would not claim that 7% or 1½ minute is significant in this context.

the standard is much lighter and less power consumpting
I would not call 1216 g vs. 1280 g "much" lighter. That is a 5% diff...

Of course will a more efficient motor consume less energy for the same job. That is what efficiency means in this context.

I have flown the p3's with both.. You will not notice any flight time or power differences.

What about this then?
Will 4 x 2800W be enough? Not sure how to fit the 30" props on there, though.
Would it make my aircraft any better? o_O
