Hello all,

First post, so I thought I'd try to contribute something to the community before I start asking questions!

I've been trying different bits and pieces in my flight bag, attempting to find the best combination for an all-in-one kit which I can easily lay my hands on before getting in the car or on the bike to go flying. I've settled on a DJI P3 hardshell backpack for portability, with the contents being [clockwise from top]: PolarPro filter 6-pack [under DJI accessory kit and battery], 5000mAH powerbank, DJI RC with Olympus strap, DJI props, iPad Mini 4, Sony QX-100 camera lens, iPad USB cable, 2000mAH powerbank [under USB light], micro USB cable, spare batteries and P3P.

The first photo shows the flight pack; the second shows the USB light in-use which comes in very handy when it's dark.

I have an inverter in my car which runs two 100W P3P battery chargers, enough to provide power throughout the day.

I'm curious to know what equipment people are generally taking out with them when flying.

Cheers..

USB light - awesome - i have the same backpack and yet to actually load it out for travelling as its only be used to store the phantom at home...
Tell me more about the light and the car charger please

Hey there,

The USB light simply plugs into any 5V DC power supply so it's quite portable in terms of being able to be used to find bits and pieces in the flight bag, something on the floor or even as a torch when I use all three. I got them from Sim Lim Square when I was in Singapore a few weeks ago for AUD$3 each.

The inverter provides 1000W modified sine wave; it has two 240V AC sockets so I can run other accessories at the same time as charging the P3P batteries. I got this from Altronics for AUD$249.

The flight bag is really good; it holds everything I need in one place, plus it's easy to wear and walk around with. I have a P3S too, but I haven't figured out how I'm going to wear two backpacks yet!
