Thanks for any help at all. Hoping to get this back in the air.
I caught some leaves after an uncontrolled drift and dropped 40 feet. Less visible damage than I thought. Looking for help diagnosing the problem. See the video and post help please!
    Much appreciated.

Call DJI NA support +1 (818) 235 0789 or email them at
    us.support@dji.com

I crashed last Sunday as well and my camera is stuck, plus one of the black rotors is crooked. I just shipped my P3A to DJI in Torrance this afternoon . The turnaround is 6 weeks and I was told that they repair in So. Cal and that the bird will not be sent to China.

1st thing... Do a full imu and gimbal calibration.
Beyond that I would check all ribbon cable connections between bird and gimbal.

Thanks. It looks like I'll be on the list sometime after you. Wonder if more repair shops will be opening, we're going to need them!

This connector came off of its solder joints on the camera board. Any way to solder it back? Hopefully I don't need to replace the whole board due to this but I am thinking in that direction.

The DJI rep mentioned they only had 9 support specialists who work on the Phantoms hence the 6 weeks. I am told that I will be receiving an email for approval of the costs -- they will not do the repair work unless they receive approval of the costs.

Let me know what they quote you for a price and what was diagnosed. That would be helpful.

You should be able to solder that back on. You have nothing to lose by trying, if it still doesn't work then replace to entire board. If the board doesn't appear damaged it is likely just the connector that pulled off, you might be lucky and that will fix it. If you don't have soldering skills find somebody that does, you don't want to ruin the board with a botched soldering job.

WOW! but for that price all you should have to do is rebind the controller, install the camera, plug battery, upgrade software and add your props.

Calling it a body but it having all electronics, motherboard, VPS, motors and shell is like buying a "body" from GM where you have to add wheels and tires, steering wheel, battery and gas....

That board you pictured had some major damage and trying to solder it would have been a waste of time in my opinion, but since you asked, thought I would respond. Your final decision was the smart one.

I'm glad to see they offer the body. Too bad they don't offer just the lower she'll.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you mind sharing what you can see is a problem with that board? Its pretty amazing that you can tell by the photo. Also, if you have that skill I am posting a photo of my main board from the same P3P. Do you see obvious problems with that as well? Trying to decide if I should send it in for repair or not.
    thanks.
