Out of the box firmware issue

    Hey - just got first drone (Phantom 3 professional). Down loaded the zip file and drop the bin file to sad card. Put it in the quad, inserted battery and powered it up. Got the D..D..D..D and lights flashing. It's been about an hour and nothing changed. Lights flashing but no beeps. What did I didn't do? Thanks

    Thanks for the link !!! I ran up to the local Staples and got another micro sd card and repeated the process. I could tell right away that it was sounding a little different. I got the correct beeps in about 10 minutes and had the log files this time. Heading out to the field for hopefully a successful fight. Thanks again

    hey Skyler i bought a new P3 also. is it important to update the firmware?

    It's usually a good idea to update the firmware. However, DJI is working to resolve a few issues in the current firmware, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait for the next release.
