I have the procedure down for caching a map from Google Maps and then using it later to create waypoints in Ground Station. I now want to open a kml file (containing pre-selected waypoints) in Google Maps. Then if I cache that map, I can just touch on top of the kml waypoints out in the field, when I start ground station. If I click on the kml file I have, it will open in Google Earth on my Android 4.4.4 phone, but as far as I know, you can't use Google Earth in ground station. Has anybody been able to open a kml file recently, in Google Maps? I've researched it and apparently the newer versions of Google Maps have dropped support for kml files. In spite of this, there appear to be several links to solutions for this problem, but so far none of them have worked for me. Has anyone successfully done this?
