Newbie.
Taking it off easy.
But outside, with one hand holding P4P+,
limp gimbal aiming down-left, is there
trick to sliding guard back on without
scraping sharp-edged-upper-half-circle
lens cover against lens surface???
Doing it whilst bird on ground not
much better -- hand holding camera
steady could affect fragile gimbal...?

Why not firmware update that points
camera straight ahead when bird off
for much easier guard attachment?

I find it easiest to put the gimbal lock on after placing my Phantom upside down on my lap or on top of the case. That way I can position the camera with one hand and attach the gimbal lock with the other hand.

I don't think that can be done. When power is removed from the gimbal, it doesn't have a"parking brake". It's all magnetically done.

It's not difficult... just hold the right side of the lock with your right hand and the left side with your left hand. Now, with your third hand you.... oh, wait....

Place Phantom on it's back landing gear and back to arms. What I do then is to place the lock lightly onto the camera with both hands. I then snap the two sides onto the landing gear last. What I've also done is to mark the landing gear where the lock should snap on in order to keep the camera at the correct angle.

Thanks for responses.
Upside down on lap worked well.
Even with propellers still on...?
First time noticed notches in rubberized
bottom of landing legs indicating position
for front of guard to snap in place?
Now only have to worry about :eek::eek:no place to sit...
