I have a 12 year old Samsung 1080p TV which is not a smart TV. What is the best way to play my phantom 4 videos on there. Also, I want to add music to my videos and combine them, any suggested software.

If your TV has a USB port or a SD card slot you could try those. As far as software goes there are many choices... it will come down to OS (windows or OS X) and your budget. I use a Mac and Final Cut Pro and/or the Adobe Suite of programs, neither of them are cheap though.

for older tvs, that cannot utilize a usb drive. Then you need a receiver...a dvd player, a connected computer, a connected tablet....these device will connect through the hdmi port on your tv.

this is the order.
media storage--->receiver--->display.

So maybe you can think iof a creative way to connect something in that order.

types of receivers:

- dvd player
- bluray player
- cable or sattelite receiver with usb port
- roku device
- other set top streaming device (apple tv example)
- xbox console
- playstation console
- Laptop with hdmi out
- computer with hdmi out
- tablet or phone with hdmi out
