Ok to top off battery?

Hey guys,

I just picked up a Phantom 3 Advanced recently and am very new to the hobby of quads. I have been reading forums and watching youtube videos for over a month now trying to learn as much as possible. I had a Phantom 2 Vision+ v3 for a few weeks but couldn't resist the P3.

Ok on to my question... I don't fly my Phantom everyday and let it sit for days between flights. This results in me going out and flying with 80% battery or less. If my battery is less than 100%, is it ok to top off the battery to 100% before flying? Or am I better off using the remainder of the battery and then fully charge it for next time?

Thanks! FYI, I live near Trenton, NJ in case there are other local Phantom members that want to meet up and fly.

Hey that's awesome. I hope you post some of your keepers, for others to see.
What like ND, neutral density filters? I saw that three pack kit, interesting...

My Phantom 3 Pro' should be here on Monday. Finally be flying it.
That was a long 6 weeks.. 48hrs to go... Hahaha

Has the weather man there, been cooperating with your flight schedule?
I have heard lots are getting plenty of rain and thunder showers.

I didn't know that my 4K camera would already have filters built in.
Someone mentioned ordering a replacemrnt kit, thinking it was an add on filter.

So adding another ND may not be necessary.

But nothing wrong with experimenting... ;-)
I want to see what you discover.

The UV filters don't really do anything. They're just more of a lens protector than anything. An ND or Polarizer filter will let less light in and allow you to use longer shutter speeds :)
