off-brand 2nd battery -- risky?

Others having no issue with off-brands?
Or avoid, not worth savings...?

I've never seen an off-brand P4 battery. Your link above is an OEM P4 battery being sold by a seller that is not an authorized DJI dealer.

I've seen ebay listings that show item location in the states but says "will ship to USA" and that ebayer is based in china

The one you linked to appears to be OEM... but even buying them off eBay can be risky without a truly reliable source.


Don't buy off brand. Just not worth it. I managed to get a few Black (lower capacity) P4 batteries from Best Buy when they were selling them off.

I'd much rather live with 2 minutes less flight time to save a couple bucks than putting a non-OEM battery in something that flies and is regulated.

I honestly think they don't exist.
