    I was going to say that too....hahahaha. My step-dad farms in KY and it is illegal for me to fly his crops. DUMB!!!

    Did you see the FAA just granted an exemption to some guy in the midwest to do surveying for crops, maybe you could get lucky?

    I am not sure why it is such a big deal. I can't spray the crops using a phantom. All I was going to do is fly over them to look for bad spots in the crops. Don't seem like that big of a deal to me.

    Are you selling your crops? Is your UAV making you more efficient at selling them thusly making you more money?

    You're required to have a pilots licenses for such activities!

    Yeah, don't hold your breath. Not going to spend a few thousand to get a license I'll never use.
