I was flying above a stream about 5m in front of me, 77% battery left, I was about half a metre from the water, it lowered itself to which tried to compensate and elevated the machine but as I was only half a metre from the river it just lowered and stopped as if it thought it should land. I was hovering trying to get the shot up the river.

I see the P4 camera performs pretty good under water, well at least for a few seconds..

Do you think it will survive?

Lol I hope so, I took wife's IPhone apart after it fell in the toilet and that worked fine after. It's all in bits now drying so hopefully I'll put it back together Saturday afternoon and give it a try.

I'm surprised that the camera was able to take that shot under water and still close out and record on the SD card!

I recommend you don't clean your lens that way again.

It's easy if you sinc your logs to the DJI Cloud. You will need to open an account @ Healthydrone.com. it will convert it and makes a share linc for posting that flight log.
There are a bunch of tutorials that explain better.

When you fly over water it is recommended that your bottom sonar be turned off.

Water confuses the P4 yes turn the sonar off, it will also keep you more stable in a fixed spot over water.

I don't have that problem with any of my P3P's....is it unique to the P4? I fly over water frequently, often getting very close to surface as indicated in picture. You can even
see the ripples from the prop wash. alligator.JPG

I'll be honest that's not as close as I got. The croc would have been able to snatch me out the water I got that low lol
