Not a good day, not a good flight

I was exited today. Had the day of work, and had refitted my gimbal to my "FC450" (FC40 rebuild to F450 clone). Looked a bit shady, but should be working. Weather was great, but the hours before i went out flying the wind picked up good. Not to stop me..

I had also bought myself a set of E300 9" props. Never got to test them out.

Now i have used the night to salvage and repair the parts. I was so lucky. No damage to go pro or Naza. Just 2 broken arms, 2 busted props and one of the wires to a motor came loose.
All is good now. I have also modified my escs (using heat shrink) and 2mm banana plugs (from esc to motor)

My first crash. Well, if you see the video i almost crashed about midways. Still, too stupid to land.

You had a very different ground speed going out compared to when you flew back.
How strong was the wind?

Did you trim any of the trees? :lol:

And then OUCH. ****, that hit hard and fast, didn't it?

Hi.

Not sure how strong the wind was, but i thought to myself that this just might not be a good idea before flying.
The quad was not good enough balanced. I used a larger battery while fitting the gimbal, forgot that on this flight..
Did not trim any trees, but really close!

Repairs are going good. Refitted the quad on a genuine DJI F450 frame. Testflight today was good in ATTI mode, but it drifts in GPS mode :/ Not sure why, have tried multiple placements of the gps + measured the right distance for the input for the naza. Try again on monday, working this weekend.

I will take any tips if you got any
