sorry for the odd title
Living out in the country I assumed that I was free from the noise of wifi and other RF sources. Pull_Up has mentioned that wet ground and foliage has had an affect on his RF transmission distance. I assume that if I have a clear view of the aircraft any surrounding trees or buildings would not have an affect on signal strength. To use an extreme example...How much difference would there be if I took off from a golf course tee box and headed down a tightly tree lined fairway (with an uninterrupted view of aircraft the entire way) and at the opposite extreme...took off on a wide-open beach with no structures or foliage? How is water or wet ground a factor? ...just wondering!
