This is cool....I've read a lot of trop storm/hurricane notices in the 50+ years as a Sunshine state resident, but Hermine is the first where mentioning of the Global Hawk was used :)

Capturing the genesis of Tropical Storm Hermine

Based on Hurricane Hunter aircraft fixes and a dropsonde from the
NASA Global Hawk aircraft, the initial motion is estimated to be
030/12 kt.

On a related note, I noticed TWC had a reporter in Cedar Key FL this morning who had hired a guy to pilot a Phantom over the city to show rising water levels in the neighborhoods. I have had conversations with my wife concerning FAA recommendations about when/where to fly (she always wants me to do stupid stuff), and when she saw that on TV, she said, "Hey, that guy's on national TV breaking almost every FAA recommendation." It was raining, too, BTW. But hey, he got on national TV.
