No More Flying at Park

DroneValley good video. But I would like to point out that people were flying before the wright brothers.

We were. Recreational flyers.
Kites, Balloons, Lanterns not sure what else. But the recreation flyer owned the skies. There were no rules.
With the Wights came rules for commercial aviation.
But still us recreational fliers were without pretty much without rules. Until now.

Except one small teenie weenie little thing. IT ISN'T their frapping park. It is ours. These communist :) beauracrats begin to think they own this **** when they are on our payroll. Get involved, people. Go to meetings, vote. Get rid of them. It is preferable to the way they have begun to get rid of dirty cops.

Well Kirby it looks like it isn't your park either since you do not live in Hamilton, Ohio. I see all the lights are on but no ones home.

They had their meeting. Read the Section 2 paragraph:

Didn't you go? What, you didn't get notice?
My point exactly. Thanks. It would be a full time job for a normal person to stay on top of what these remoras are up to. Over the years they have stacked the deck in their favor whereby public input is difficult, unknown or nonexistant. An obscure three line ad in the classifieds in the local fish wrapper typically constitutes "invitation for public input". Like us telling these clowns if they want to talk to us, log in to Porn Hub and PM us. I do not sit down every flipping day and read all the tiny classifieds to see what I need to intervene in. Just an example.

Ok, so I went to my local township park today to fly my P3P today, as there as some beautiful wooded areas and good scenery to film. And I swear, not even 5 minutes after I got airborne, a park "custodian" (non-Ranger) came up to me, and slapped me with a $250 fine! Apparently, the Township Park Board signed and put into effect a No-Drone rule just earlier this month! It was SO recent, it wasn't even posted anywhere!
I would take it to court, and if you win, then file civil suit against the ******* who wrote the fine, burn his *** good!

Why even bother being just off property???? I mean you have a drone that can fly ehhhh we'll say a mile in any direction from you... Ok half mile... Post up down the street, launch, kick back, and know that you aren't gonna be getting a tap on your shoulder :) just saying buddy. Why push the limit to just beyond the boundary when you can be flying in total ninja mode hahaaaa

Flying from back yards where you can't be seen works out quite well. In addition to inconspicuous locations if you're concerned at all about being needlessly harassed for a relatively innocuous activity such as flying your little quad copter. I hate the media which has completely overblown concerns about multi rotors.

I was advised by an attorney to position yourself outside the regulated area while you control your bird inside the park. Not sure if that is true...try it and let me know.

Good thing for the no fine, why bother flying in that park again? The people making these rules are closed minded and they think all drones are spying on them and are evil. Usually these type of people have something to hide and they are paranoid you may find out about their nasty little secrets. If they see a drone in their park the next rule they will make is that you can shoot a drone and collect bounty. Don't lower your yourself to their level, you live in a big country enjoy somewere else. IMO

Thanks for the input guys, I am fairly new to the UAS world. I've only been flying about a year. And about half of that time was spent flying indoors with "smaller" craft- SYMA X13, SYMA X5c, Blade Nano QX, Blade 180 QX, etc... Good thing about those- they got me used to flying ATTI style. Ha!

You know, I double checked my flyzone maps, Hover app, etc and it does NOT show that park, or any other park in the area as a "No Fly Zone"...

I would love to go to future community meetings and help "educate" lawmakers etc about UAS operation, rights etc... However, as much as I'm embarrassed to say it, I can not vote. I am currently a convicted felon due to getting behind on child support due to being unemployed for a period of time during the recession...

He could have just said, hey we don't allow that here, you'll need to stop. i'm sure you would have complied.. but considering they are hard up for money, you get the fine.
If it were me, i wouldn't pay it and just not go back there anymore.. (maybe let your pass expire and then get a new one - i'm not sure how they keep records)

if you try to challenge it, i think you'll probably lose, it was made a park law in 2015

I would challenge it. I don't think you would lose. If it is not posted you have a chance. Was it posted on the sign before you flew or after. If after you can appeal to the judges common sense and likely win.

Sorry Tony.. None of that truly matters. You still have a voice. People make mistakes fall on hard times etc. No big deal. Go and voice your opinion.

Isn't that how everything becomes illegal? They pass a law making a specified activity illegal?

SB
Kind of but they truly can't make a law that they have no legal authority to enforce.

Scenario:
Ok so I am writing a law at my house whereby people wearing blue shoes at my property will be drawn-and-quartered.... Ohh.. I can't do that?

So your statement is correct in some ways but misses the larger point in that they may not truly have the authority they think they have.. The only thing they can control is you flying from the park. If you step outside the park and fly...

Let's call attorney Mike Allen. He got the speed cameras banned. I'm sure he can get Anderson Twsp to back down.
