What's the secret to getting the internet connection to the drone? I get RC signal lost message and No internet connection when I try to connect. Everything worked fine upgrading the firmware. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
The no internet warning is your device telling you it can't connect to the internet through the drones wifi, which is normal.

It's very frustrating, I got the drone to give me a hobby to get my mind off of chemotherapy, haven't been able to get a simple lift off yet.

OK, so that means the radio and Phantom are connected, and app is working.
Most likely it is being overwhelmed with other signals like wifi. You need to take it as far from wifi or other forms of radio interference as you can.
Also, the order you power up should be - radio, phantom, connect phone to wifi, launch app

If this is your 1st Phantom, or mid-sized multi, take it easy on the 1st flights, get a feel for the controls, don't get too ambitious with range, height or speed.

That would be the drone's WIFI, thru the phone settings. I only clarify since he is new and don't want him to get confused, I apologize if I sound too perfectionist. Happy flying [emoji16]
