I had a strange problem today in the middle of a job. While preparing to shoot the 2nd of four buildings in a hospital complex, my P3P suddenly wouldn't power up...the message at the top center of the screen read;
...'GPS Unconnected'
I moved about a half mile away from the location but the problem persisted...zero satellites. I aborted and went back to the office. There I could only get about 6-8 sats. Eventually (after 1-2 hours) all the sats came back.
Remember, I shot one building with no problem. However, the client admitted that there were lots of magnetic imaging equipment (MRI, CAT scans) in the building were we were having trouble.
Question...could this imaging equipment have knocked out the Phantom's ability to receive the satellites?
