No FPV, no USB/GoPro cable, correct?

I'm not flying FPV.

Do I still need to connect the USB cable to the GoPro?

I know it is a stupid question and I know I should be able to google it/forum search, but I swear I did!!! Please withhold your sarcasm just this once.

If you have no need for the video output, the only other reason to connect the USB port would be to maintain the small charge current to the gopro. Doing that has a negligible impact on flight time so don't let that dissuade you, but if you don't want the power connected then you can ditch the USB cable, all the way back to where it plugs in to the back of the gimbal.
