I was considering purchasing a Phantom3 after checking the no fly zone map on DJI's site. The closest airport near my home was a class B airport which meant I was far enough away and not in the blue circle. However, when I loaded up the ground station app, it shows the same airport as Class A with a much bigger red circle which means I'm definatly in a no fly zone so I would not be able to use the drone. Why is there a mismatch? DJI pissed off a lot of people that preordered their birds only to ground them via firmware but in this case I'm glad I didn't just in and order without loading up the app. Just calling this out since it could impact potential customers who check DJI's no fly page and think they're in the clear when in reality they are not. One would think that DJI has gotten enough bad press with geofencing as it is and might want to ensure that the maps online match the software.
