Got my P3A yesterday, can I use my 10 inch tablet at the controller screen ?

Also do I need to lock the gimbal when I put the Phantom 3 in the hard shell bag and travel to fly the phantom.

You can if the tablet is not wider than 6.75". Otherwise, you'll need an extender (like this one).

It's 237 X 170 X 7.5 mm, does it mean I need extender

170 mm is 6.69 inches. It'll fit as long as you don't have it in a case.

Everytime you take it out to fly do you put the plastic piece

Yes, when I take it out pre flight I remove the harness. Then once finished flight, add the harness back to secure the camera and prevent any damage.

I havent tested but woupdnt be suprised to learn that dropping your phantom inside a hardcase or without the protector could result in a danaged gimble.... it seems very fragile and flopping around while powered off can only increase the chance of damagimg something.

Yeah, it's made for ~8" tablets. My Nexus 7 is slightly too small for it.
