New v2 remote wont connect or detect by Rc assistant

Ive tried different usb cables, turning the remote on and off, restart the assistant, but not communication.
What am i missing here?

When you plug the remote into the computer, does the computer acknowledge it? (PC: makes some beeps, shows up in Device Manager; Mac: look in System Report? under USB devices)

Found out, forgot there was a separate RC assist for my Mac...

Yes, there are several "Assistant" software, regardless of whether you are on Mac or PC.
There's "Naza Assitant" for the P1 and other non-Phantom copters, then "Phantom Assistant" for P2's, and "RC Assistant" for the remote.
Windows folks will also need to install DJI's WIN drivers.
