I just bought a P3P and this is what I have learned from this forum.

1. My aircraft is going to fall out of the sky at any time.

2. I don't have the new super duper motors.

3. I don't have the new and improved body.

4. It's going to fly away.

5. I am going to need a pilots license.

6. Oh! And I can't land at DFW.

Yep, pretty much. Now go sell that piece of junk, because the naysayers will tell you it's full of defects.

Fly safe but fly it like you stole it :) You're going to have a BLAST!!

Yep, it you go to a forum expecting help from the complainers, you wont learn anything except how to complain. But if you talk to the chaps who are trying to help those who are new to the P3 then you may be able to learn and enjoy a marvel of technology and a great camera platform with capabilities that blow the competition away. Not everyone can see what the eagles see-- it never get's old

I hope you learned from the forum, that we are all not sticks in the mud... And like to horse around as well.

Welcome

It kills me how unmanaged forums become the outlet for the frustrations of the stupid. But this forum has been helpful to me.
This forum has been very good for the most part. There is one mod who often posts short, snarky and condescending answers but the others are normally helpful and patient. One thing I would like personally is a way to discuss non P3 specific issues with only P3 owners I know and trust. Its frustrating to me that the forum is designed to discourage that type of idea sharing, but I do know that some others like it that way. Cheers!

The best way to express my delight when looking through the virtual eyes of an airborne pilot are these, by Spitfire pilot John Gillespie Magee, Jr

High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew --
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
