The other day my new controller came for my one year old P2, 3H3D2, H4, FS. I had installed the pot mod a few months ago to better control camera tilt. It worked well but I liked the idea of new controller wheel placement better. New controller wheel works fine but I did not like the spring loaded wheel centering movement. I wanted the camera to stay put and not snap back to the preset position when I took my finger off the wheel, after all, I am controlling the P2 as well. I found that the spring can be removed from the wheel mechanism quite easily. Just take your time. I then glued a small piece of plastic to the wheel center indent so my finger knew the center position (20ish degrees.) Calibration was dead on. Works great.

You could have done this without removing the spring.

Originally, yours wasn't working like it was suppose to. Set up correctly like the link dp posted, the camera stays at at its current location when the wheel is released.
