Santa was good to me.

For Christmas I got a Samsung Tab 4 10 inch tablet, a holder and a pelican case.

I got a jellyfish mini tripod mount but it wasn't large enough so Christmas day I got a iStabilizer and everything was set. I used the metal mounting arm off of the jellyfish to hold the iStabilizer.

I also got a carbon fiber holder but the controller wouldn't fit in the case with it attached and it would have been a pain to take on and off so I ordered a support that attaches to the lanyard clip and everything fits well. It's not as rock solid as the carbon holder but it's pretty **** good.

So, here's the setup...

I keep the the tablet and iStabalizer in the Pelican case, along with allen wrenches and a short screwdriver to make adjustments, along with the tablet charger.

After I assemble everything, I turn on the hotspot on my phone and start the DJI app on the tablet. This lets the tablet download and cache the map. Then I just turn on the Phantom and everything works as normal.

I tested it today and everything worked well!

Good luck with it. I've got the same case for the quad and one piece of advice I would have is not to store it with the props on. Constant pressure from the foam top on the blades may warp them over time and you need those props to be in pristine shape for flying. Just my opinion.

I've use the case since October and haven't noticed any warping.
