new phantom

I purchased a used phantom 2 plus from B+H. Good price with a great warranty "$749.00". I unboxed it and the battery had 2 bars. Great I charged it till the LED's went out. Took off the gimbal guard inserted the battery and pressed the power button, The led lit up for about 4-5 seconds and then the battery cut off. The phantom does not power up any suggestions other than sending it back?

Press and release the power button and then immediately press and hold... it should powerup.

Actually that did work yeah! now to hook it up and see what the phantom is set to before I attempt to fly it! Alot differant then my FC40!

Describe what happens when you do that please.

eaglescout, what you're describing sounds like what happens when you press the battery button once and release it. It lights up for 4-5 seconds to show you the status of the battery.

Try this:
- Press and hold the battery button for one second.
- Release the battery button completely and quickly press it again and hold it for two seconds.
- Release it.
