Well I got a Phantom and had 2 flights yesterday in my back yard, had a couple of small crashes mainly because it is a small yard. I took it to a park today and had my go pro mounted and was nervious. I had a dog tag engraved with my name and phone number just in case I lost it. It went well and had a few close calls but avoided any crashes. I was actually surprised how well the video came out and did not have any jello affects. I will take it to a different park on Sunday and have some fun. I see how addicting this new hoby can be, now I need to buy a few more batteries. I want to put a strobe light to help with orientation, what are you all using for this?

Regards!

Dog tag alone may not work as good as printing something like, "If found call xxx-yyy-zzzz for reward".
As for the orientation light, most will put one on the front but during the bright day light at a distance , say 75 yards or more, I found none to work even the super bright strobes. So it will only come handy in the evening hours or at night.
Here are a few examples:

Some you can tap the power from the battery balance plug or if it is 12V, you can get the accessory power from the wires sticking on the rubber plug on the bottom of the front right leg (looking from the top).

If you plan to fly far away go for FPV to avoid orientation altogether:

I almost forgot to mention if you lost the orientation, use the IOC function that have already saved many Phantom flyers. But first you must set this from NAZA since it came unset.
