New phantom 3 pilot

Just a quick hello.
Just ordered my P3A today with a new iPad 2 mini and can't wait to fly it.
Never flown a drone before but I used to fly RC PLANES so not a complete newbie.
Open to any advise guys cheers

Charge the batteries .calibrate the compass. Check the imu. Fly in an open field with no power lines around.
