Because of the very restrictive and confusing drone laws that were implemented in Canada I wrote to my local member of parliament to express concern. After a few weeks I got a positive response. It appears that there has been a lot of backlash to the laws. It looks like more "comprehensive and permissive" regulations will be introduced for Canada in June!
Looking forward to seeing what they will be. Fingers crossed!

I really hope you are right! If so this is good news!

I am sure that they will be more comprehensive (is that possible considering as they stand now, it is illegal to fly a drone recreationally?) but permissive? I don't think so.

They are overly restrictive as is, so if they are tweaking the regulations they could only get better and more permissive. "Permissive" is the word used by the corresponding politician, not me.
