    Any word on the process for obtaining the "remote pilot certificate" with a small UAS rating?

    Knowledge Test won't be available until August. Spoke w FAA this morning, they emailed me same. Testing Centers are out of the loop as of yet.

    Per an email I just got from the FAA:

    Please note that all provisions of the Rule, including all pilot requirements and operating rules, will be effective in August 2016, 60 days after the rule is published in the Federal Register

    I got the email also. I assume the 333 will no longer be needed?

    It will still be needed by anyone who cannot operate within the rules described within part 107 (e.g. you need to fly directly over people).

    Yea. I called a few places and they had no idea what I was talking about. Would of been nice for them to have the testing available when they announce it.
