New P3A firmware

Hi guys I get my new advanced drone this week.
Do I need to update its firmware before flying ?
Is it better to run a earlier version or will it be already up to date?

If you need to update depends on the firmware currently on that P3. Most likely it will be a version behind the most current since the most current came out a few weeks ago.

I'd recommend updating as 1.6 is pretty solid and does fix an issue with batteries being used in colder weather. You don't have to update as the P3 will fly regardless but I'd recommend it.

Concur with Tcope, update it. I received mine on christmas and logged 2 hrs of flights with no issues.
