Will the new iPad air work with the P2+? My gen 2 works fine but thinking off upgrading soon. The lighter weight and better non glare screen would be a plus (I hope).

There's no reason why it would not. The latest iteration of the iPad Air has a better processor, but the changes from the original iPad Air are not that significant. I've been using my iPad Air for the last 6 months without any problems.
I do see you mention P2+ and this is in the Non-Vision forum, so the Phantom 2 with Ground Station is what my experience is with. If you're referring to a Vision 2+, I can't comment since I don't have a Vision 2+. However, I don't think you'll have any issues.

Do you guys think it'll be able to replay 1080p/60 from the gopro?
My 5S can't do it because its not 1080p native.
