Professional New firmware..point of interest

    Phantom 3 pro...I'm using a mini 2 ipad. It has wifi and cell capabilities however l was told if l cached a map everything should work without data. I think they said as long as my radio shows gps I'm ok. Can anyone confirm?

    You can see the maps when you're offline as long as they are cached. GPS is not required on your iPad Mini.

    POI is not based on the GPS of the device at all.
    It is based on the internal GPS of the P3.
    I would work even without a cached map - because the P3 always knows where it is.

    So - you take off in P- GPS mode and then navigate above the POI. Now you set the center point. The P3 records that. Then you move the P3 out to the radius you want to circle. The P3 knows that location also.

    In other words, none of this relies on the Remote or the Device (as far as I can tell).
    Now- follow me - that's probably a different story!
