New FC40 / Walkera Gimbal

I will look at that if I have problems in future.
I did tweak v1 as it was not doing correct rotation but after a quick tweak it worked fine.

Nice. So you adjusted the gains or the pitch ?
Also you are using a gopro ?

The pitch.

I did tryout the go pro but the wifi range was very poor and with the go pro app (on iPhone) you do not get FPV when recording.

after the settings are complete, I actually adjust V1 and V2 for horizon level and amount of tilt when using the pitch lever on the controller.

The adjusters act different when you arent in that PAM mode

Did that clean up the shake ?

the second part will not clean up the shake.
Its mainly for proper horizon adjustment.

I havent tested anything out yet

1080P No pro tunes will give you live preview and record. (Slightly off topic)

? no FPV when recording

Sorry, I thought you were saying you could not record video on the GoPro and get FPV on the iPhone GoPro app at the same time.

yes, that is what i am saying.

Ok. I ran into that problem, but now record with protune disabled & in 1080p. Then I can record and see the live preview/ fpv on the iphone app at the same time.

update:
I did some flying (about a minute) for each prop(fc40 and vision props) after the adjustments.

I only decreased the roll slightly and I believe it yielded positive results.

A little tougher to tell with the FC40 props as they were pretty **** good to begin with, but I think its more noticeable with the vision props.

I will adjust again, but this time, decrease the gains for both roll and pitch and do it a bit more. This is going to be tedious.
But right now, im going out to dinner!

ok, another update:

I reduced both pitch and roll more, but no difference.
The stock props are still much better to use. I'm going to abandon this and try using different dampers

I had the gimbal replaced. New one works much better. I tested with both stock FC40 props and vision props. Both work really nice with it.

pretty smooth.
you have some jello, maybe balance your props?

Are you flying with gps on? How were the wind conditions?

Still a little, but much better then before. I was flying in about 9mph wind with GPS on. I wanted to give it another test with the softer rubber dampeners that come from DJI with it in ATT mode.

Even if I cant fix that last bit of jello I would consider it worth the 89 dollars I paid for it on newegg.

are you using the default dampers that came with the gimbal?
If so, they never seemed to cause jello like that.

Oh wait, are you using a gopro or the fc40 camera?

gopro. I have shot a couple other videos with no jello. I think it might have been the wind and GPS...

I already posted this in another thread before coming across this one. I installed the G-2D on my FC40, powered everything up and connected to software. I enabled the Gimbal. I tried to calibrate the X1 stick but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I adjust the V1 and the camera stopped shaking as if it were having a seizure (jellowing?) It now sits there pointing up. When I adjust the lever on the transmitter the gimbal starts wigging out and points down then snaps back up again repeatedly. It also starts rolling left and right. I am using the FC40 camera with some zipties. I also added 20grams of weight. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

So I finally connected the gimbal to the F2 port. From the remote I get full rage of tilt.

The only problem is both the Naza and the Walkera are trying to auto level the pitch, so it over compensates on pitch.

Chris - Make sure you have the wires in the proper spots.
Also, it COULD be a balance issue
