Is it just shipments to the existing dealer network that are blocked?

Is there anything prohibiting direct DJI to customer sales, or
shipments to hobby type stores that are not already dealers?

Depends on what the TRO issued says. If the TRO says that the named defendant DJI HK cannot sell to the 31 dealers, then it can sell to other dealers or distributors. Also, those 31 dealers, not being part of the lawsuit, are not subject to the TRO, and could purchase the products through other channels.

Frankly, I do not see a significant impact on the end users. This has been tried many times in the past, especially in US jurisdictions with distributor protection laws. However, in every case, consumers or dealers get around it by ordering from sources not subject to the TRO. At this time this is legal gamesmanship. It will be a different ballgame when it goes to US District Court, as I am almost certain it will, given the diversity of jurisdiction and dollar amounts in question.

Either way it’s going to be a pain in the *** for the USA consumer for a while.
There has already been a rush on parts with some items being sold out.
(Good thing for DJI high sales of part items as back up stock for users )
But for the customer who’s custom battery charger quits working and has to wait for 5 weeks to get one
or cant get one .
Not so good

There's this crazy thing that people are calling "the internet" that enables folks to buy parts from vendors all over the world.

If a US consumer can't figure that out then they only have themselves to blame.

Have you purchased anything direct from DJI? How long did it take to get it? When it was defective, how long did it take for them to respond? If at all... Point is, it won't be impossible to get parts, it will just be a pain in the ***! And forget about any type of support, should you need it.

What's the problem? Just order it from Helipal in Hong Kong and get it in 3-4 days.
