New Canon Drone. Six Motors and Six Times the Fun.

Canon announces the lastest release on its first drone. All bets are in as to how they will do. Out of Canon’s 80 year career in the camera business, they have a proven standard on quality for cameras. This another first for them.

About the price of a small car! I bet the camera is real good "Drone market is projected to reach a market size of 211.6 billion yen (about 2 billion US) by 2022" Here in Canada M. Marc Garneau does not understand numbers and thinks we should not fly anything bigger than a chickadee.

Didn't I read somewhere the Canon was like, 10-12,000.?? You know, you think a great company like Canon would stick to doing what they do best, make cameras, sure, come out with a aerial specific camera if you like or partner with an exsisting UAV maker, but, do you realty think they can compete with the likes of DJI?

It would be great to have a drone that was designed, from the ground up, to carry a really top notch camera like a Red 8K camera and even better if Red designed a specific model that was as light and small as possible. Given that the camera would not need a view finder or largish LCD screen it should be possible to make one that's small and light enough for an M600 or larger drone. We will have this sooner or later as the need is obvious and there are folks in Hollywood that would jump at that capability. OTH, for lessor needs like TV and advertising the P4P, with it's decent 4K camera and great hovering and flight controls is enough and small/cheap enough to be practical.
