New Battery not charging.

    Recieved a new battery for my Vision today. Put it on charge but after 7 hours, still only have two bars and a flashing third.

    I am sure the initial charge didn`t take this long with my other batteries.

    Anyone had similar problems?

    Just wondering whether discharging it and recharging may help.

    Knowing how critical good batteries are, would I be better getting it replaced?

    I would ask for a new battery .

    Plug into the Assistant and have a look at the battery stats and see what's going on. Might give information that could help identify it as a manufacturing defect, or if all is well might point to the charger being at fault.

    I would try a discharge and supervised recharge. There is part of the intelligent charging circuit that won't allow topping off a partially discharged battery, so that could be the culprit.

    Thanks for the replies.

    I will try discharging it but am not hopeful. When I took it off charge yesterday the lights stayed on (still 2 bars), it took 4-5 pushes of the switch to get them to go off.

    I will connect it to the computer but doubt I will understand what it is telling me.

    Dealer has said they will sell me a new one and then give me a refund when the faulty one gets back to them.
