Hello J Dot,
I saw a post in another thread where you have pried the case open of the anti-static compass and connected it to the original grey 5-wire cable. Could it be assumed this should work for Phantom 1 / FC40 too?
Cheers,
CM
Hello CM,
( UPDATE: Make sure new compass is compatible with your bird! Or it won't work at all )
I would assume so, because is does not work hooked to motherboard with 2 port GPS units. But seems to work fine hooked to GPS.
Since I've done mine, I've had NO issues( not that I had any before ) but she still flies beautifully, no major issues. Few technical issues over the years, and 1 bad battery! It's been a great bird ( p2v ) I'd say give it a try, just check that you get a good compass cal. Before you get airborne, please let us know your findings!
