I'm looking to put together a kid and from what I've read in these forms these are some of the things I would want to make a kick *** unit Immersion RC 600W transmitter/Black Pearl/ go pro hero3+ black/ FPVLR antennas/ Go Professional Cases XB-DJI-P2W Hard Case for DJI Phantom 2 with Wheels/ I'm thinking an off the shelf osd like a Remzibi or even a DragonOSD/ I also don't know if I should use the Phantom transmitter or a real hobby level transmitter/and any thing else that I'm missing/ if someone can put together all the links for a badass system I would appreciate it I want to order everything as soon as possible and I know that somebody knows of a good place to get all this gear from thanks rick

I don't no about others but I don't think the point of this forum is to build shopping lists for newbies. That bit you gotta do yourself. If you have a specific question about hardware then I'm sure we will try to help you as best we can.

Well I don't see why they would not want to help if they've already been through it and found out what works best why not help somebody out and buy a shopping list that is just going to be more help based on the best prices they found from good venders for the best gear to make an awesome kit just think if somebody helped you out you would not have to learn from mistakes I'm just looking for some support here it would be greatly appreciated thanks rick and yes I am a newbie at this I'm not a pro that's why I'm asking for help

Put together your list and I'm sure you'll be advised if there is any incompatabilities or you're missing something vital. Shopping list complete with links...I personally draw the line at. You haven't even said what country you are in! We all have lives outside of this forum so please do a little work yourself first. Oh by the way none of this is 'bad ***'. I suggest you treat the hobby with respect that it deserves. Flying these things comes with a lot responsibility. Bad *** indicates otherwise.

Your list looks basically OK. I would recommend DJI IOSD mini as its more compatible with the Naza in Phantoms.

Have you flown quads or heli's before? If not I recommend a Hubsan or the likes to cut your teeth on.

Yes I had a vision+ but sold it so I can get a better system I can fly one just stock vision + had 2300ft range and I want to go 5000- 6000ft and I used iPhone so it made seance to up grade to go pro with 7" screen if I was going to start modifieing things because if I lose a go pro it's 300 but if I lose the vision + camera it's 800 and seams like its better with the 2.4 gh remot but I don't know a lot yet but I would like some help thanks

With the P2/Black Pearl stock equipment you will not get anywhere near that sort of range. You will need a high gain antenna(s) on the receiver to go further matched with a good TX antenna. Having video at long range is one thing but you also need control range.

If you don't 'know a lot yet' I would suggest you stay LOS and gain your knowledge and experience. Over 1000ft its doubtful you will even see it.

If you lose the GoPro as you say you also will have lost your Phantom complete...a lot more than 300 something.

I do understand that black pearl stock won't go that far that's why I was thinking fpvlr antennas for the video and the rc controls but what I meant to say was I hear that vision + camera goes out a lot and it's not serviceable so when something happened to it if it dose it's 7-8 hundred to get a new one it sounds like you know a ton about building these things I'm just looking for some help I'm trying to get a shopping cart to gather my self but any help I would love thanks

I don't know a ton, just did it once, however it was after an awful lot of researching here using Google site search. I'm not a distance man, others are.

For example check out this thread for a start viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8406

What do you recommend to Chang out to make it better I've been reading your link but I have a lot more to read thanks

Ok thanks anyway but if you do get some time it would help I've been on this all day and I fell more confused then when I started the day just want to make the right move on this again thanks for your input

Trying to get that sort of range is going to be a challenge. I would suggest you start with the recommended Immersion 600mw Vtx and BP monitor with good CP antennas. Once comfortable at its operation and range then upgrade. When using 5.8ghz as your video downlink getting that sort of range is going to be difficult. Using 1.3 Ghz will give you much better range however the size of the antennas can be a problem.

Exactly what "Irishsights" had to say I was thinking when I read your post. "Oh by the way none of this is 'bad ***'. I suggest you treat the hobby with respect that it deserves. Flying these things comes with a lot responsibility. Bad *** indicates otherwise."
I'd strongly advise doing your research, finding somewhere you can try one out first. Once all that's been done pay close attention to all rules and never do what you wouldn't want someone doing to you.
