Guys,

What represents the best-in-class currently available FPV options for the phantom?

My requirements are:

1) it has an HDMI in for video (the phone I have w/Phantom has HDMI out)
2) it can be charged like a cell phone (ie, no 'AA'/'aaa' batteries), don't care about the connector as long as it comes with it or is standard (ie, micro-usb)
3) it has the best possible quality out of it's competitors.
4) cost isn't an object, but I'd like to spend LESS than 1k on these

My use case:

1) Setup phantom, controller, and phone as normal
2) microUSB->HDMI out on phone goes into HDMI port on goggles (already have phone and cord)*
3) profit!

*no wireless solutions please!

Anything more involved, and I'm not interested.

I'm specifically looking for those who actually own these kinds of things to chime in, thanks guys!

Here's what I'm looking at now, and as far I know my only possible solution given my requirements:

cinemizer OLED
http://www.zeiss.com/cinemizer-oled/en_ ... ation.html
http://www.amazon.com/Cinemizer-multime ... B0091OI530

Any help would be great, looking to pull the trigger on this purchase yesterday.

Fat Shark Dominator HD goggles have HDMI input: http://www.fatshark.com/product/1757.html
Unfortunately, they are backordered, in very short supply. I'm pre-ordered since March.

Thanks man! I was aware of the fat shark stuff, but not this new model, absolutely seems like a competitor to the cinemizer, with some different features and a bit cheaper to boot. Have some reading to do...

Also very interested in hearing from people flying with goggles and which models. Highly considering the Cinemizer OLED multimedia video glasses by Carl Zeiss, however, I saw in the video above that apparently I'd only be able to get the HDMI input working correctly from an ipad instead of an iphone. Curious to know if this is still the case or if anyone is able to use them with their iphone.

I'm also curious to know whether people think it's worth the $800+ given the resolution is still very meh. I'd almost rather invest in an ipad and then a separate, bigger screen to stream it to.

I use cinemizers for lightbridge and 5.8 perfect for both.
