Naza M-mode vs Phantom 2 mode

looking forward to confirmation on this question myself. I THINK that in Naza Mode with the switch in GPS position that's basically the same as Phantom Mode, but I'd like to hear someone with more (any) experience than me in Naza mode confirm.
I do know that it's when you switch from GPS to ATTI and enable the other flight modes (CL/HL) is when flight characteristics really change

Yes, at least it appears so after testing, Cl/hl also works independently of the Gps/att mode.
Then my next question is, if i get a compas error, will it be enough to switch to Att mode to regain controll, or do i habe to enter manual mode?
I tried manual 3ft of the ground, it was like balancing on a needle, almost impossible to control :-o
